Peter E Power
Chairman of Elk Petroleum Limited
Dr. Power has over 40 years experience in hydrocarbon exploration worldwide in senior management positions with major international companies. He was previously Managing Director of Ampolex Limited prior to its acquisition by Mobil.
Dr. Power was the foundation Head of Geology at the Western Australian Institute of Technology (now Curtin University). He was a member of the Bureau of Mineral Resources Review in 1984 and the Australian Geological Survey Organisation Review in 1993, a member of the Advisory Council for the National Centre for Petroleum Geology and Geophysics from 1985 - 90. He has served as President of the Australian Geoscience Council and as a councillor and Chairman of the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association, which has awarded him both the Lewis G. Weeks and Reg Sprigg Gold medals and honorary life membership. He has been a consultant since 1997 and is currently a non-executive Director of Petsec Limited and chairman of Metgasco Limited. Dr. Power is also on the Board and is Chairman of Austex Oil.
Andy Rigg
Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer
Mr Rigg has over 35 years experience in international oil exploration and development. He has held senior exploration management positions in Esso, Santos and Ampolex. More recently Mr Rigg has had senior executive roles in the Australian Petroleum Co-operative Research Centre and the Co-operative Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Technologies (CO2CRC) specialising in research, development and demonstration of carbon dioxide geological storage and use.
Mr Rigg is a Distinguished Member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (PESA) and a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG).
Mr Rigg is currently Deputy Chairman of Mosaic Oil NL, a non-executive director of MEO Australia Ltd and Anzon Australia Limited, and an advisor to Australian Coal Association Low Emissions Technologies Limited on carbon dioxide storage.
Robert Cook
Executive Director Operations
Mr. Cook has over 40 years experience in the energy and petroleum industries. This has included 18 years with Esso Australia and 4 years with Ampolex in senior management positions. During his time with Esso Mr. Cook spent 11 years in the offshore and onshore production facilities in Bass Strait. Mr. Cook has been responsible for all aspects of production activities from field development design through to project execution and plant operations. In particular, Mr. Cook was responsible for production operations at the Longford plant in Victoria, during the period when crude production was in excess of 500,000 barrels per day.
Mr. Cook played a key role in the successful developments of Esso’s Perch & Dolphin wellhead platforms in Bass Strait. Whilst with Ampolex, he contributed to the final development concept for East Spar and developed the concept for the Wandoo offshore production facilities in Western Australia. He conceived the Lufeng subsea production facilities in the South China Sea for Ampolex which was eventually adopted by Statoil. He has also undertaken numerous worldwide prospect evaluations.
Mr. Cook brings a wealth of knowledge and strength to Elk Petroleum through his innovative development concepts, industry associations and an ability to recognise niche opportunities.
Glenda McLoughlin
Non-Executive Director
Glenda McLoughlin has over 20 years experience in investment banking, management consulting and industry policy working in Australia and internationally. Most recently she was the Head of the Utilities and Infrastructure group of Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank plc. Prior to this Ms McLoughlin was a Vice President of international investment bank Morgan Stanley based in Melbourne and Singapore.
Ms. McLoughlin has completed over $8 billion in advisory assignments and financings and brings specialist skills in corporate financial advice and debt and equity capital raisings. She has been involved in major energy sector transactions and has provided financial advice to corporations and Governments on energy sector restructurings, acquisitions, divestments and financings.
Ms. McLoughlin is currently an Executive Director of Metgasco Limited.

Ms. Bourke is a qualified accountant with over 12 years experience in the financial services industry both in Australia and overseas. Ms Bourke had responsibility for regulatory and compliance activities at both Credit Suisse First Boston (Australia) and Citigroup Australia.
Christopher E. Mullen
President of Elk Petroleum, Inc.
Mr. Mullen has a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Geology from the University of Wisconsin and is a Wyoming professional geologist. He has in excess of 19 years experience as an oil and gas explorationist with most being acquired in Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain region. Most recently, he was responsible for maximizing production in existing fields, bringing value to existing acreage, and developing new exploration plays for a local Wyoming company and prior to that, the development of exploration plays and prospects in the Wind River Basin of Wyoming and the Paradox Basin of Utah and Colorado. Technically he has worked the Wind River, Big Horn, Powder River, Washakie, Denver, and Paradox basins with emphasis on the Wyoming basins. He also has extensive geologic experience with the Tensleep, Phosphoria, Muddy, Frontier, Parkman, Teapot, Lance, and Fort Union oil and gas reservoirs.
Mr. Mullen has managed professional groups and at one stage supervised the activities of a Rocky Mountain exploration group of 12 professionals and 3 technicians which was in turn responsible for the acquisition of 2 oil and gas companies thereby expanding exploration to 5 additional Rocky Mountain basins.
Mr. Mullen has played an active part and has occupied senior positions in a number of professional geological associations; Wyoming Geological Association (President – 2004, 1st V.P. 2006); Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists; Society of Sedimentary Geology; Potential Gas Committee (responsible for the Wind River Basin since 2002); State of Wyoming Geological Survey Advisory Board (President 2006).
