Overview:

Elk Petroleum is an Australian based company originally established to take advantage of petroleum redevelopment opportunities in the USA. The Company was admitted to the Australian Stock Exchange in June 2005.

The Company has two 100% owned producing fields in the Wind River Basin in Wyoming, a 100% owned non-producing oil field in the Powder River Basin in Wyoming and a large exploration portfolio in Montana and Wyoming.

The Company’s Board and management team has proven expertise in applying new technologies to mature oil fields and it is anticipated that application of these technologies will allow considerable improvements in hydrocarbon recoveries at the Grieve Oil Field. The team also has extensive international and domestic US exploration experience.

Focus:

1. Acquire large equity in historic producing and non-producing oil/gas fields in the Rocky Mountains region

2. Enhance productivity through integration of field engineering and geology and the application of modern oil extraction techniques

– e.g. re-completions at SDS, CO₂ and chemical EOR of Grieve Muddy reservoir

3. Form JVs for development; extract value and share risk

4. Use in house expertise through acquisition of high offset potential acreage with unevaluated exploration potential

– seek farm outs to provide exploration funding
